The Crazy Cat Lady is Emerging

Published by melissan at 11:40 am under humor Edit This

I haven’t put any effort into this blog lately. After being downgraded a month or so ago, I realized that I didn’t have the umph it takes to write solely about parenting with hip tips, tricks and traps to avoid.

Waiting for our baby to arrive in April, I learned that each time I tried to write a hipmomma post, I broke out in a cold sweat in anticipation for our little one.

Am I nervous? Not really, I am just so excited that every time I think about it I become obsessed with her coming and then I am practically useless for anything else. You know that little kid at Christmas that can’t sleep the night before? That’s me, waiting endlessly for our daughter to arrive some time in April.

What I have also learned in the four months I’ve been absorbed into the blogosphere is that people don’t generally love tips or advice, they like cute stuff, things that make them say awww and they love cats. I could not believe it when I saw cat blogs with over 500 followers. The crazy cat ladies are alive and well on the internet.

So, instead of changing my name hipmomma and becoming thecrazycatlady.today.com, I’ve decided to just put more effort into this site but focus on children both human and feline.

I AM one of the crazy cat ladies out there (well sort of) and I would like to join their ranks on the internet.

It seems like a pretty normal response for a pregnant lady. You are having a baby, life is different and is going to be more so. Relax and enjoy it. Take naps. Put your feet up. Allow people to do nice things for you. Pretty soon you’ll have that baby in your arms and you need some fond memories. (snicker)
